CalAmp Corp. CAMP, a leading provider of wireless products, and PROCON, Inc., a leading location based solution provider, today announced a settlement of patent litigation. PROCON and CalAmp have granted licenses to each other relating to systems that apply Global Positioning Satellite (GPS) technology to track and report the location of vehicles to resolve all matters between the parties. As a result of this cross licensing agreement, CalAmp and PROCON believe their customers will benefit from receiving quality products that incorporate state-of-the-art design and features.
"CalAmp continues to be firmly committed to protecting and enforcing its intellectual property rights and we welcome PROCON as our third licensing partner for our vehicle location and recovery process technology," stated Michael Burdiek, President of CalAmp's Wireless DataCom Division. "We are pleased with this settlement and look forward to working with PROCON on multiple fronts to develop market opportunities for GPS tracking solutions."
"PROCON is investing in the creation of a wide array of intellectual properties and solutions for fleet management, new auto dealers and financial services groups," stated Brian Boling, Chairman of PROCON, Inc.
